PAMPA, TEXAS -- Pampa's Fire Marshal is on scene Sunday assessing damage from a fire that sparked Saturday evening that spread to several structures.
The fire sparked near Highway 60 and Osborn Street.
Pampa's Fire Chief tells Pronews 7 the fire ignited in an area where a lot of vacant homes and lots are located.
Many of those did burn, however, two homes did have people living in them and they were damaged in the fire.
Officials say right now, it's too early in the investigation to determine the exact number of structures that burned.
At one point, the fire jumped Highway 60, causing it to be shutdown for a short time. Volunteer firefighters were called in to help from White Deer and Hoover. No injuries were reported. Again, the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
