Barbershop perspective on Obama's win

PHARR, TEXAS -- Customers and employees at an African-American-owned barbershop in a predominantly Hispanic area of Texas they were proud of Obama's Tuesday night victory.

D & L Beauty and Barber Shop owner Dan Quailes said he moved from Delware to the Pharr, Texas along the U.S./Mexico border.

Barbershops are traditional places where members of the African-American community discuss politics.

Quailes said he has found acceptance and good business with the area's predominantly Hispanic population.

His East Park Avenue barbershop in downtown has unique art as well as memoriabilia from the civil rights movement and Obama's campaign.

Quailes said Obama's victory is a victory for all minorities.
