Palo Duro Canyon is operating under winter hours, but is completely open.

Outdoor adventurers listen up, Palo Duro Canyon is operating uder winter hours.  From the winter months of December to February the Park is open from 8 AM until the front gate closes at 6 PM.  You have to make it into the park before the gate closes, but you can of course leave anytime.

This year the entire park will be open throughout the winter.  All campgrounds and areas of the park are open for the public to enjoy.  In winters past certain campgrounds and areas were closed to the public.   The rates are still the same and there is plenty of free space for camping, hiking, mountain biking or any other activity the Canyon has to offer.

Admission to the park is $4 per person.  Palo Duro Canyon also offers cabins which run around $115 per night, and you do have to call ahead to reserve a cabin with a beautiful view.  Typical tent or primitive sites run $12 per night and sites with electric hook ups can run up to $22 a night.

With warmer temperatures this winter enjoy one of America's most beautiful sites right here in our own back yard.  The Palo Duro Canyon is a great option for any outdoor adventurer.
