DALLAS (AP) — A murder warrant's been issued for a woman hospitalized in Dallas after police say she confessed to killing her ex-husband near San Antonio.
Sr. Cpl. Kevin Janse says the 33-year-old woman called Dallas 911 about 4:15 a.m. Monday and reported that she'd killed her ex-husband in San Antonio Sunday night. She also said she'd just taken a handful of pills.
The Dallas police spokesman says she was taken under arrest to Baylor University Medical Center. Janse says the children — ages 2, 6 and 13 — were turned over to Child Protective Services.
Homicide Detective Rubin Arevalos of the Bexar County Sheriff's Department says the 34-year-old ex-husband was found about 11 p.m. Sunday shot in his home near the Bexar-Comal county line. He was pronounced dead at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
Arevalos says identities haven't been released yet.
