AMARILLO, TEXAS -- This morning a Panhandle police officer tried to pull a car on I-40 over for a minor traffic violation, but the suspect continued driving.

The officer ran the plates and found it had been stolen out of Minnesota. 

The suspect drove into Amarillo where he was stopped by spike strips, causing him to stop in an Amarillo train yard, where he was taken into custody.

He is being held at the Carson County Jail.
