CURRY COUNTY, NEW MEXICO -- State Police Captain Jimmy Glasscock also reported a crash on U.S. 60/84 around 4:30 yesterday. A 16 year old girl from Melrose, was seriously injured when the car she was driving struck an SUV head on.

The teenager was driving eastbound in the westbound lane, passing another vehicle, when her vehicle crashed into the westbound SUV.

State police say the girl was airlifted to a Lubbock hospital.
