AMARILLO COLLEGE -- Panhandle artists and fans were encouraged to see a screening of a PBS television series Thursday night. The event also featured a panel discussion of the series Art: 21 Art in the Twenty-First Century.
The episode featured the views of contemporary art and working artists. "This is an international project... But KACV was only one of three PBS affiliates in the us to receive a mini grant on the outreach event in the Texas Panhandle. I think it speaks to the importance of what's going on in art in the Texas Panhandle," said Cullen Lutz from KACV
The grant was used to help put together panels and social networking sites, and even let folks check out cameras from KACV, so they could talk about their own artwork then post the video online.
