AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Recently we received an e-mail from a concerned and frustrated viewer who thought the construction at FM 2219 and Lair Rd off of I-27 was to be completed by September and wondered why work had stopped. We spoke to TxDot officials to get some answers.

According to TxDot officials the constrcution was never to be completed by September, but has always been scheduled to be done by mid to late November. The back filling work planned for last week was halted due to bad weather.

TxDot officials went on to say that if crews see good weather that the project may finish ahead of schedule by the end of next week.
