AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce's Ag Council hosted it's annual ag appreciation luncheon on Tuesday at the Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show.

The luncheon is designed to show Panhandle folks the importance and value of the ag industry here in our area.

Locally, agriculture is a 5-billion dollar industry with 3.7 billion coming from livestock and 1.3 billion coming from crops.

Former congressman Charlie Stenholm was the keynote speaker at the luncheon.
