AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The High Plains Food Bank and the Community Garden received an early Christmas gift today, thanks to students at St. Andrews

The kids have volunteered there in the past and noticed the garden was in need of new gardening tools.

This morning the kids gave hundreds of brand new tools, which they've been collecting for weeks. Folks at the Community Garden say it's a wonderful, and useful gift that means so much.

Community Garden Project Manager Marc Jansing said, "Its such a huge help to us to the food bank, the garden but its an even bigger help to the community its going to help us grow produce that will go right to the agencies the kids cafe, and the food bank programs so it's exciting for us."

Marc went on to say the Food Bank is always in need of donations and if you would like to make one, click here.
