AMARILLO, TX -- More folks are now vaccinated against the H1N1 in Amarillo. The clinic opened early on a Saturday at 8 in the Rex Baxter building at the Tri-State fairgrounds.
The city had 4,000 doses, and their goal was to administer them all. By 2:30 p.m. the city already gave out 750 doses of the vaccine.
The Director of Public Heath, Matt Richardson, said it's still important to get the vaccine to prevent from getting the flu. The Texas Department of State Health Services continues to order the full allocation of H1N1 vaccines as more people are being urged to be vaccinated.
Amarillo is hoping to get more vaccines in January.
