AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Amarillo native Four Price officially tossed his hat in the ring Tuesday morning for the 87th District State Representative seat being vacated by David Swinford.

Amarillo city commission chambers were packed as Price laid out his platform.

He said education will be one of the cornerstones of his campaign, along with the economy and Amarillo businesses.

He also said he promises to take ethics down to Austin and always keep an open door policy.

"And I want each and every one of you to feel confident to call me, to voice your opinion. That's part of what being a state rep is all about. I will listen and Il plan to take the work ethic, the common sense and integrity we have here in the Panhandle to Austin and represent you aggressively and effectively." said Price.

Price's Republican opponent, Victor Leal, says he looks forward to the campaign ahead.
