The "Home is Where the Heart is" home improvement expo will collect donations for the American Heart Association
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- If you're looking to do some home improvements, the KVII "Home is Where the Heart is" home improvement expo may be the place to start. Over 60 Panhandle vendors are featuring the latest in products and services for home improvement.
From vendors selling windows, to landscaping companies, to carpeting, this show has something for everybody.
There is no fee to get in, but donations will be accepted to benefit the American Heart Association.
"Heart attack and stroke is the number one killer in America, and we sometimes forget that. We're trying to raise awareness that February is heart health awareness month, and we're especially promoting the Go Red Luncheon for women to try to make women more aware that heart attack is the number one killer of women today," said Debra Halliday a volunteer for the Amarillo American Heart Association.
For more information on the "Go Red Luncheon" call 806-457-0090 or click the link provided below.
If you miss the KVII Home Expo Saturday you can still catch it Sunday. The show runs noon to 5 on Sunday at the Amarillo Civic Center's North Exhibit Hall.
There is a kids activity area, and big screen TVs to show the NFL playoffs.
Be sure to sign up for a grill valued at $750 donated by Boyd's Equipment.
