AMARILLO, TEXAS -- They help hundreds of needy people in the Panhandle, but last Friday the Panhandle Community Services Center was robbed and now they are at a stand still.

The thieves stole all of the centers food, which they give away to those in need.

They also nabbed office computers, camera equipment, and money from worker's offices.

Officials say, this hurts more than just the company, it hurts those in need.

Hilltop Service Center's Maggie Smiths said," It's sad to me and its still sad because it's a rejection for the needy people. Needy people do need food, and we don't have it."

If you would like to help the center stock their shelves again, they are accepting canned food goods, and monetary donations.

You can stop by their office at 1300 North Hughes, or call them at 372-2531.
