Shaun wrote to us Friday morning asking, "What's going on with all the dirt moving at near Western and Hollywood, they are digging a deep hole?"

We sent a crew out there and turns out the city is digging a playa lake. The lake will give run-off water from the City View subdivision a place to go. They are in the first phase of the project. The second will include installation of underground storm drainage piping to the lake.
