SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Nearly 40 cats have been removed from an overrun San Antonio home in an animal rescue mission led by volunteers.
Workers began removing and treating the animals Sunday to assist the woman who lives at the house.
Matt Bennett with Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation says the woman, whose name was not immediately released, welcomed the volunteers because she understands she has a problem.
Bennett says trash, cat feces and other filth littered the home, in a cleanup and cat care effort that's expected to take several days. Some veterinarians pitched in to help and house the animals, which will be available for adoption. ---
