PAMPA, TEXAS -- Six people have been arrested in Gray County and charged with aggravated robbery after a homeowner surprised the intruder in her home.
It happened last Sunday, in the 1800 block of Sumner Street in Pampa.
The homeowner says she came upon two intruders ransacking her home, one ran when confronted, the other threatened her with a weapon.
Pampa police along with the Gray County Sheriff's department were able to identify six people they believe to have been involved in the crime.
Anthony Lee Williams, aka Tony Hall, Ashli Dianne Harris,Brittney Nichole Jones, Michael Don Burns, Jesus Rodriguez, Aemon Troy Layton are all in custody on charges of aggravated robbery which is a first degree felony.
According to Pampa Police Chief Kelly Rushing, this was a cooperative effort for local law enforcement. "We were given the task of finding some people we consider most dangerous. People who invade the sanctity of a person's home are dangerous and this behavior will not be tolerated. Although this was a Pampa PD case, Sheriff Copeland immediately provided the resources of his agency to the investigation. Because of our unified efforts, things came together quickly, and we were able to identify suspects, secure evidence, and gather information needed to secure arrest warrants. The suspects were all identified and arrested by Thursday. I am very proud of the work of the officers involved in this case and commend them for working together to get this matter resolved."
