A Quay County woman was killed Saturday morning after the vehicle she was riding in crashed.

State Police officers from Clovis responded to a report of a single vehicle crash just before 10 a.m. Saturday in Quay County. Officers found that 61-year-old Hilous Hargrove, and his wife, Sarah Hargrove were traveling east on Quay Rd. in their SUV. Mr. Hargrove lost control of his vehicle, causing it to go off the road, hit an embankment and then rolled the vehicle one time. Sarah Hargrove was ejected from the vehicle and died on scene as a result of her injuries. Police say she was not wearing her seatbelt.

Mr. Hargrove was treated and released for his injuries. Alcohol was not a contributing factor.
