During a routine traffic stop a DPS trooper working patrol in Carson County on I-40 found more than 200 pounds of marijuana.

The driver Nancy Elizabeth Garner of Atlanta, Georgia was traveling from Flagstaff, Arizona to Atlanta. When she was stopped by the trooper. During the stop the trooper asked for consent to search the vehicle and it was denied.

A DPS K-9 unit was called to the scene, conducted a free air sniff and alerted to the presence of controlled substance in the car. A search revealed 230 pounds of marijuana concealed inside the trunk. The pot is valued at $74,750.

The driver was arrested and booked into the Carson County Jail for possession of marijuana.
