Convenience store robbed; suspect on the loose

AMARILLO,TEXAS -- Amarillo police are looking for a male suspect who robbed a Toot-N-Totum on S. Washington early Wednesday morning.
According to police around 1:23 a.m. a man walked by one of the clerks that was outside and told her to stay out. He was armed with a knife and walked into the store. He told the male clerk inside he wanted the money. A female customer was inside the store at the counter at the time of the robbery. The suspect took an undetermined amount of cash, and walked out the door. As far as the witnesses could tell he appeared to be on foot.
The suspect is described as a dark skinned man, and was wearing a toboggan cap, a scarf over his face, a long winter coat, and gloves.
The incident is still under investigation.
