AMARILLO,TEXAS -- As the school year begins to wind down, the valedictorian and salutatorians are picked, and for one school those titles go to twin senior sisters.

Over at Ascension Academy in west Amarillo, Hannah and Haley Boren, born six minutes apart, are taking the top honors in their senior class this year.

The twins say while they've always had each other's backs in school, there's always that competition between sisters in the background.

"In everything we do..we compete. But grade wise, we help each other along the way and we work together and it's helpful to have someone..we always finish each other's stuff together."

Hannah plans to go on and study music and Haley says she wants to be a nurse.
