AMARILLO,TEXAS -- A new program is coming soon that will assist volunteers in figuring out which organization is best suited for you and what you need to do to get involved.

Volunteer Amarillo and Leadership Amarillo and Canyon are launching a website called volunteeramarillo.org. The website will make it easy for volunteers who might not know what to do, or are wondering which non-profit is right for them. Here's how it works. Once you've logged onto the website, click the volunteer link, and give information about yourself. You can look up information on all kinds of organizations that might interest you.

"To make sure the community has what it needs, has volunteers it needs to continue the services that other people need through the non profit organizations, were here to help and serve," said Robin Gertonson of Leadership Amarillo and Canyon.

The website will be available May 24th, and they'll have a launch party for the new program June 1st at Gray's Studio on 6th street.
