ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The Better Business Bureau in Albuquerque is warning of a phone scam. Here's how it works, callers from Jamaica tell people they have won a prize and need to pay fees to claim it. According to the release, the caller identification systems show an 876 area code and the callers have Jamaican speech patterns. The callers also tell people that someone will come by their house to pick up the required fees.

The BBB says legitimate sweepstakes don't require a fee to claim a prize.
