On June 25, around 10:24 a trooper working in Hutchinson County stopped a vehicle 2 miles north of Borger. The pickup was stopped for registration and equipment violations.
The driver, Elias Pando III,24, of Oklahoma City and his passenger Fabian N. Uribe, 39, of Dumas gave consent to the trooper to search the vehicle.
During the search troopers located two bundles of currency totaling $24,860.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Hutchinson County Jail for money laundering a third degree felony.
Just a few hours later around 3:15 a.m. on the 26th, agents with the Texas DPS Criminal Investigation Division arrived at the home of Fabian Najera Uribe, in the 1400 block of FM 2203 in Dumas.
The agents knocked on the door and Adrian R. Natividad-Sinaloa, 25, answered it. The agents saw four large bundles of marijuana on the living room floor in plain sight. They conducted a probable cause search and found 175 pounds of marijuana valued at $56,875.
Adrian R. Natividad-Sinaloa was the only person in the home at the time and was arrested for possession of marijuana a second degree felony punishable by 2-20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
