BISHOP, Texas (AP) - A former college professor has hit a fourth Texas Lottery jackpot in the face of astronomical odds.

Joan Ginther won $10 million on scratch-off ticket bought in the rural town of Bishop last month. That brings her lifetime Texas lottery winnings to nearly $21 million since 1993.

The 63-year-old Ginther has won at least $2 million on each of her winning tickets. Texas Lottery Commission spokesman Bobby Heith says the agency hasn't seen a repeat winner on this scale.

Not that Ginther didn't know the long odds stacked against her. Before becoming a multimillionaire, Ginther worked in California as a professor - teaching math.

Despite being a celebrity in Bishop, few know much about her. She now lives in Las Vegas and friends say she wants her privacy.
