AMARILLO, TEXAS -- After appearing on ProNews 7 at 10 Monday night, former Sheriff Richard Mack was the guest speaker at a constitutional seminar hosted by the Randall County Sheriff's office Tuesday morning.

Mack spoke in front of about 35 law enforcement personnel, the single largest sheriff's department crowd he's addressed at one time.

Former Graham County, Arizona Sheriff Richard Mack is in Amarillo at the request of Randall County Sheriff Joel Richardson, who wanted other law enforcement officials in the area to hear what Mack has to say.

"What you take away is up to each individual sheriff, but what it is about, is purely a constitutional class for sheriff's," said Richardson.

When Mack was sheriff, he sued the federal government and won over the Brady Handgun Law, and since then, has become known as a conservative spokesperson on the constitution, state sovereignty, and especially, the oath taken by law enforcement personnel.

"Really that's where our duties are designed, they're defined there. And the oath of office is wearing an allegiance as required by the founding fathers in the constitution itself to the principles of freedom that our country was founded upon," said Mack.

While Sheriff Mack is often associated with the Tea Party, he says he has no political agenda of his own, and only wants to educate people on federal issues.

"Political agenda? No...I'm not running for anything. All this is about is education. I believe if you put the right information in front of the right people, what we have here in this room today, they'll do the right thing."

After speaking Tuesday night at the Ambassador the Sheriff will head out for his next engagement over in Santa Fe.
