TOLAR, Texas (AP) - The Department of Public Safety says two brothers and another man died after their single-engine plane crashed in a field in Hood County.

DPS spokeswoman Tela Mange says preliminary reports indicate the plane was headed southwest last night -- banked hard to the left, then crashed. The cause of the accident is sought.

Trooper Dub Gillum says the Beechcraft Bonanza went down about three miles southwest of Tolar.

Gillum says two men died at the scene. The trooper says the critically injured survivor was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where he also died.

Names of the three men were not immediately released, pending notification of relatives, but Gillum says two were brothers and one of the siblings apparently was visiting from India.

Tolar is 45 miles southwest of Fort Worth.
