Governor Rick Perry is proposing legislation that would deny high school dropouts the privilege of driving. According to myfoxhouston.com, Perry says if you are of high school age and you are not in high school you are not going to get a driver's license.

Perry also proposed some graduation incentives also, like a $1,500 tax break for employers who aid a worker in earning a diploma.

Perry talked about those proposals from a floor of a major Houston plumbing company. He also talked about, immigration, the federal drilling moratorium, and of his support of the state's 15-year-old concealed carry law.

He went on to discuss gambling in the Lone Star State. While he has been a long time opponent of legalizing gambling, he says Texans may get a chance to decide at the ballot box. The issue would be in the form of a constitutional amendment, as to whether it's time to expand gambling in Texas.
