AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Drivers heading east and west on I-40 will notice some construction and lane closures.

Paul Braun with the Texas Department of Transportation tells us that lanes in both directions are closed so crews can do some seal coating. Due to the high winds today, the lanes are closed to help prevent the coating from blowing onto traffic. 

The seal coating work will be on the the Loop to Atkinson on I-40. TxDOT asks that motorists be patient and realize they are trying to protect the public's vehicles.
