PORTALES, N.M. -- A Portales man has been arrested for kidnapping in connection with a beating incident last month. The Portales News Tribune reports that police are still searching for two other men who may have also been involved.
Randall O'Hare, 24, was arrested Friday, he posted a $10,000 bond and has been released.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, police believe O'Hare drove a green minivan used to kidnap Luis "Jax" Pietrzak on the night of July 1. The men placed a trash bag over Pietrzak's head, put him in the van, and tied his hands and feet with duct tape.
He was beaten and kicked numerous times as the attackers drove him out of town near a dairy on Roosevelt Road 10. After stripping Pietrzak of his clothing and property, he was released on the side of the road where a passing truck driver found him.
Pietrzak said he suffered multiple scrapes, bruises, a broken tooth, and he spent two days in the local hospital.
