AMARILLO, TEXAS -- An Amarillo man is in critical condition after being crushed between two vehicles Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called out to a report of a serious motor vehicle accident in the 500 block of W. Cliffside just after noon. There they found Leonard Wayne McFarland, 70, was caught between an R.V. and a car.

McFarland and his 17-year-old grandson were trying to jump start the R.V. when his grandson drove a 2006 Lincoln into a barn and accidentally pinned McFarland between the two vehicles. He was airlifted to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.
