GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi authorities say a motorist from Texas was found with about 210 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his car in a traffic stop near Gulfport.
The Sun Herald reports a Harrison County deputy stopped the eastbound motorist on a careless driving charge on Interstate 10 Saturday night.
Investigators say the marijuana was concealed inside burlap bags used for cattle feed.
Sheriff's officials identified the motorist as 67-year-old Henry Jackson Parker Jr. of Houston.
He was booked at the Harrison County jail early Sunday on a charge of possession with intent to distribute.
It was not immediately known whether Parker has an attorney.
