PANHANDLE, TEXAS -- The water boil notice for the city of Panhandle has been lifted. The boil warning was issued after a water main break on Wednesday this week. City officials said water tests have come back negative for harmful bacteria which means the water is now safe for consumption. The water pressure which was also low due to the main break is now back to normal.

Residents with questions about the water are asked to call Panhandle City Hall at 537-3517.
