SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — A legislative task force wants state employees and the public to make suggestions for improving government operations.
The Government Restructuring Task Force has posted two surveys on the Legislature's web site for state workers and the public to offer their opinions.
The panel is considering how to revamp departments and programs to save money and improve services to the public.
Task Force chairman Tim Eichenberg, a Democratic state senator from Albuquerque, said Monday the panel had hoped to e-mail the survey to state employees but Gov. Bill Richardson's administration didn't allow that.
One of the survey questions for state workers is to list what "seems like a waste of time and resources" within their agency.
