CANYON, TX -- The Canyon Walmart is about to make some changes they say will better service the community including students .

On October 16 the Canyon Wal-Mart will join it's Amarillo sister stores in going 24 hours.

One official says their customers spoke loud and clear and they listened.

"We've had several customers say if we would be open a little bit earlier, like at six in the morning, that they could come in and get their day started a lot sooner. Then we had college kids saying if we could be open whenever they were up past 11 when they're working on projects that it would be more of a convenience to shop in Canyon instead of having to drive to Amarillo," said Andrea Bunney, Canyon Wal-Mart Store Manager.

Bunney says that going 24 hours also helps employ about 25 additional store employees.
