Tascosa student robbed and assaulted in parking lot

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- A Tascosa High School student was attacked Thursday morning in the school's parking lot. According to police the 18-year-old student was walking to his vehicle around 10:30 to go to an appointment. As he walking to his car in the parking lot directly across the street from the school, behind Bahama Buck's he was attacked by two men.

The victim said that a black man in his early 20's pushed him down and began kicking him, a second black man then joined in and continued to kick him.

The first suspect stole a pack of cigarettes and some money from the student. The two men then took off and were last seen running north on Western.

The first man was said to have been wearing baggy blue jeans, blue shirt, white Nike tennis shoes, with a small goatee and mustache. The second man is believed to be in early 20's with short hair, and was also wearing baggy blue jeans, a black hoodie, and tennis shoes.

Police said there were two other black men in their early 20's with the first two, but they did not take part in the robbery and assault.
