BOSTON (AP) — A bomb squad has issued the all-clear after examining two suspicious bags found in a cargo area at Boston's Logan International Airport.

Authorities say a dog doing routine security on Tuesday appeared to pick up a suspicious scent while passing two duffel bags marked with a Nigerian address.

The Delta Air Lines cargo terminal was evacuated while the bags were examined. State police say the packages are believed to contain bedding material and have been deemed not dangerous.

Airport spokesman Phil Orlandella says officials identified who brought the bags to the area and who shipped them.

Orlandella says passenger flights were not affected because the cargo building is about a mile away from passenger gates.

BOSTON (AP) — A cargo area at Boston's Logan International Airport has been evacuated after a dog picked up a suspicious scent.

Airport spokesman Phil Orlandella says the K-9 doing routine security on Tuesday indicated the scent by sitting down as he passed two duffel bags marked with a Nigerian address.

Orlandella called it a "low-level threat" but said authorities want to make sure the bags are fully examined.

He says officials have identified who brought the bags to the Delta cargo area and who shipped them.

The building was evacuated.

Orlandella says no passenger flights were affected since the cargo building is about a mile away from passenger gates.
