AMARILLO, TEXAS -- If your Christmas list includes a new pet, DAWGS encourages you to give the gift of a loving home to a shelter dog!
DAWGS is striving to get 100 animals adopted this month, so this Saturday, December 11 from 1-5pm PETCO will be featuring available pets from DAWGS of Texas. Currently, the shelter provides a home and love to almost 7,000 dogs.
Diane Trull of Dawgs says she's hoping the Christmas spirit will spread to their facility.
"Our hope is people are feeling generous this holiday season, and will share their home with one of our animals who just want to give their love and loyalty."
Elvis has agreed to come out of "retirement" in order to help DAWGS reach their holiday goal. Chick-fil-A will also be in attendance, handing out coupons, and DAWGS will even provide a discounted microchip clinic, to the general public, for $25 per animal.
If you can't adopt this holiday, remember, DAWGS, is a no kill shelter, and a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and thrives on donations. Visit their website by clicking here;or call 888-TX-DAWGS to make a donation.
