AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety worked a major accident in the Texas Panhandle Thursday afternoon.

The wreck happened at the U.S. 62 and U.S. 83 intersections just before 1:00 Thursday.  According to the DPS, Perry Robison failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and hit a Ford truck traveling north on U.S. 83.  Robinson’s passenger, Jimmy Gail Crumpton was taken to a Lubbock hospital, where he died Friday.

Troopers say the people in the Ford truck did suffer minor injuries but were treated and released.
