AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Wrap Up: Ok, so during the forth quarter there were two commercials that stuck out to me.  The first was the Bug Light, “here we go,” spot where the dogs took over the party…it made me laugh.  The second was for the Camaro, I thought it was pretty creative.

Overall, however, I was pretty disappointed in the commercials.  It seems like, historically, the commercials were much better with the companies going all out.  I thought most of the commercials were just regular spots, spots that came with a price tag of $2-$3 million, according to reports.   Fox Sports has already released a list with the best and worst, here are the best and here are the worst.

What did you think of the commercials this year, what was your favorite…we want to know!  Just leave a comment in the section below.

Quick update:  The Chrysler 200 ad featuring Eminem seems to be a hit!  The term “Chrysler 200” rocketed to the top of Google Trends within minutes of the spot hitting the air.  You can watch the spot by clicking here.  While we don’t know how much the ad cost, it was less the $9 million….

3rd Quarter Update:  Ok, so here is my 3rd quarter wrap!  I have to admit, I usually love those commercials with the E-Trade baby, however, I was a little disappointed in this one.  In fact, I didn’t even crack a smile.  It seems like a lot of my wife’s friends on facebook like the “cram it up the boot” spot, I guess I missed that one.

Now, let’s take a look at Google Trends, the interesting thing that I see is that most searches haven’t been centered around commercials but instead celebs.  Keith UrbanAxl Rose and Josh Duhamel are topping the search of list.  A lot of people seem to be into the blunder by Christina Aguilera, you can watch it for yourself here.   Medal of Honor is topping the list as I write this, with :37 seconds left in the third.

Update:  Ok, here is the first quarter wrap on Super Bowl commercials.

So far, I have two favorites!  The first was the old west Budweiser commercial, I will be honest, it mostly has to do with my love for Elton John.  The second was the Snickers spot that featured a couple of celebs including Rosanne Barr, who was taken out by a giant tree.  If you take a look at Google Trends, it looks the most effective so far might be the spot for the Motorola Xoom tablet, it skyrocketed to the top in what seemed like no time at all!  If you would like, you can check out the spot by clicking hereShia LaBeouf was a popular search after the Transformers trailer, however, it looks like more people are into the Captain America trailer right now.

What is your first half favorite, share your thoughts with us!

Hello all!  This is Pronews 7 News Director Steve Pair!  Every year millions of people tune into watch the Super Bowl, some of those are watching the game but a good number are just watching for the Super Bowl commercials.  So, I thought I would I would do a couple of things and invite our readers to join the fun!

First, I am going to be on the lookout for my favorite commercials, as I see them, I will make a little note as to why and share that on this post.  I invite all of you to share your favorite commercials here as well, just be sure to tell me why!   Second, I am going to try and follow Google Trends and see which, if any, commercial moves the needle.  If a spot does, I would be inclined to say that people really liked it or it was just really effective.
