AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Kids Inc. Donor Days Blood Drive wrapped up yesterday, and we are told by our friends at Coffee Memorial Blood Center it was a huge success!

Hundreds of donors showed up to donate and vote for their favorite school. Which means, there's blood available for area patients in need. In addition, four great schools will also benefit by receiving a cash value prize for that special something, plus elementary school kids will get to play sports with the help of the Kids Inc. Farley Bucks, which is just like cash at Kids Inc.

For the second year running, Tascosa High School won at the high school level. Way to go Rebels! The school won a cash prize valued at $2,000.

On the middle school level the Travis Texans took home the gold! Taking home a cash prize of $1,500 for the school.

And Alice Landergin and South Georgia both won on the elementary school level. The top two elementary schools officially tied and will be splitting the $1000 at $500 each. Both schools will receive $650 in Farley Bucks. Margaret Wills, Reeves Hinger and Ridgecrest will also each receive $650 in Farley Bucks for being in the top 5 places.

Congratulation to you all from all of us here at Pronews 7.

And a special thanks to everyone who donated and gave the gift of life.
