Cattle that were on burned pasture should be inspected by a veterinarian, according to the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA).

TSCRA says it is important to have the cattle inspected immediately because it is difficult to diagnose trauma from the fires. The cattle could have trauma that may occur within two to three days of the fire.

The Texas Cattle Feeders Association says it has not received any reports of any cattle dying in the fires.
