AMARILLO, TEXAS -- One Amarillo church asked its congregation to help out the victims of the fires and now its halls are full with donations.

As you walk through the doors of West Amarillo Christian Church there is barley a walk way. The reason? There are hundreds of bags full of new and gently used clothing, bedding, underwear, even toys for the children that lost all theirs in the fire. The first bag arrived on Tuesday morning and since then the donations haven't stopped.

"We think that it's amazing. Our church asked for outreach and boy did we get it. It's just been exciting for us to know that the community wants to be apart of helping all these people that were victims of the fire and even the little children are getting motivated and bringing in toys, so it's just been amazing," said Linda Sturgeon, a member of West Amarillo Christian Church.

The Downtown Women's Center is coming to pick up the donations on Friday at 2:00 p.m so they can be given to the fire victims.
