Update: Fire under control

AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Update: Pronews 7 has learned the grassfire in Hemphill and Lipscomb counties has been contained. According to a release from the Hemphill County Sheriff's Office, crews were called to the fire at Highway 305 and County Road DD in Lipscomb county late this afternoon. At one point the town of Glaizer was evacuated, however those residents have been allowed back in since the fire has been contained.
Crews from Hemphill, Lipscomb, Miami and Gem City responded to blaze, along with air support from the U.S. Fire Service.
At this time, it appears the damage will mostly be contained to pasture land.
Pronews 7 has learned that crews are working a grassfire in Hemphill County.
The fire is reported to be south of Lipscomb, crews from Lipscomb, Miami and Canadian are all working the blaze. We will provide updates as they become available.
