AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Many homes were burned in our wildfires last month. One organization, Acts Community, is helping victims who lost their homes. They're taking a donated trailer and remodeling it. They'll replace the flooring, ceiling, apply a fresh coat of paint and fully furnish it.

It's just one of the many trailers they need to help nine families who lost everything. "This is one of those areas, especially for the uninsured, where they have no help right now and most don't know what they're going to do and the reality is, if we don't help them, they'll end up homeless," Chad Conner, the Acts Community President. He continued saying the Red Cross has helped out with the immediate need, now the need has transferred to help these families get a roof over their head.  The organization partners with different churches around town, along with the 30 - 50 volunteers they have on retainer.

Each trailer costs $10,000 and they still need $140,000 to get everyone a home. If you would like to donate go to any Amarillo National bank location and tell them it's for or the Wildfire Rebuilding Effort.
