Four people sustained minor injuries in an accident Monday morning at the Hemphill County Airport.

According to a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety a 1981 Cessna flown by 66-year-old Ronald David Rouse of Hotchkiss, Colorado, blew one of its tires as Rouse made his landing at the Hemphill Airport. The blown tire cause the aircraft to bounce back into the air before coming down into a hard landing on the runway. Then the aircraft veered off of the runway and into an open field before coming to rest.

Four of the seven people in the plane were transported to the Hemphill County Hospital with minor injuries, and are all in stable condition. The other three were not injured.

All seven people aboard were from Colorado.
