AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Preliminary autopsy results have been released on the 13-month-old who tragically died earlier this week.

The results show Keyaria Lamesha Bowens died from either a fall or from blunt force trauma from an assault, Lt. Trupe of the Amarillo Police Department told Pronews 7.

Investigators are trying to determine exactly what happened by interviewing family members. No arrests have been made but the question of how she received the injuries remains.

The Amarillo Fire Department was called to the San Jacinto neighborhood Saturday Afternoon on North Florida Street on a child not breathing. She was then transported to Northwest Texas Hospital. She later died.
