AMARILLO, TEXAS -- An Amarillo motel was robbed by a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun late Tuesday night and police need your help identifying the suspect.
Amarillo Police say the Quality Inn at 1515 I-40 East was robbed just before 11 p.m. Tuesday by a man who displayed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the clerk and a customer.
According to police, the clerk was forced to give the suspect money from the register. The customer, from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, had his wallet and other personal valuables taken.
The suspect is being described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30 between five feet seven inches and five feet nine inches. He was reportedly wearing a dark grey hoodie and grey workout pants with most of his face concealed with a dark-colored bandana.
He is believed to have fled in a dark-colored car, similar to an early model Ford Taurus.
