Clean air... It's something many of us, perhaps, take for granted... Especially in Amarillo!
In fact, Amarillo has made the list for the top 10 cleanest cities in the United States.
The list comes from the American Lung Association (ALA). It released its annual report, highlighting the cities across the country that are cleanest when it comes to air pollution, short-term particle pollution, and year-long particle pollution.
Amarillo made the list! The city is tied for 8th place with Albuquerque, N.M.
According to the annual report, America is showing signs of having cleaner air. ALA credits the cleaner air to improved emissions from coal-fired power plants and cleaner diesel fuels.
More than half the United States continues to suffer from pollution levels that can be dangerous to breathe.
As for Amarillo, you can breathe easy!
