AMARILLO, TEXAS -- The Northwest Texas Hospital Labor and Delivery Department took a beating Monday...literally.
Demolition Day kicked off the hospital's renovation plans for the department. Renovation crews aim to have the new and improved unit completed in 90 days but until then, you can find the labor and delivery department temporarily relocated to the Children's Hospital.
Plans for the renovated unit will include updates new mommies (and family members alike) are sure to love--queen-sized beds, flat screen TVs, mini-refrigerators and an overall more comfortable, family-oriented atmosphere.
"With the traffic and just the demands that have been placed upon this unit, it was time to give it a facelift and have some new changes and make it more of a family oriented unit," says Director of Marking for Northwest, Caytie Martin.
